What is primary school game club like?

Welcome to the Primary School Gaming Club at KDM Gaming Hub in Llandrindod Wells, Powys! Friendly, staff-led session where children make friends, learn teamwork and enjoy age-appropriate games in a safe space. Booking is essential; places are limited.

What we play…

Consoles & co-op: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Minecraft, Rocket League, Overcooked! 2, Switch Sports, Fall Guys.

Quick party games: Super Mario Party, Moving Out, Gang Beasts (age-appropriate settings).

Board & card games (on request): Sushi Go!!, Dobble, Ticket to Ride: First Journey, Codenames: Pictures.

Is it beginner-friendly?
Yes. We teach rules at the table, start with approachable games and keep groups small and supportive.
Do parents need to stay?
Green Star — drop-off allowed. A named adult signs in/out. Parents/carers are welcome to stay if they prefer.
What ages is it for?
Primary-aged children (mixed ability). We seat by confidence and interest rather than strict age. Ask about siblings.
What do you play?
A friendly mix of co-op console titles (e.g., Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Minecraft Creative, Switch Sports) and family board games (e.g., Sushi Go!!, Dobble, Ticket to Ride: First Journey).
Can friends sit together?
Usually, yes. Mention it when booking and we’ll try to seat them together during rotations.
What should we bring?
Water bottle; optional labelled controller/headset. We provide consoles, games and spare controllers.
Accessibility & sensory support?
Yes. We can offer quieter seating, lower volume, larger-print aids and slower pacing. Tell us what helps when you book.
How many spaces are available?
Spaces are limited for a calm environment. Please book in advance to secure a seat.
