What Is High School Gamer Club Like?

High School Gamer Club is a relaxed after-school gaming session for young people who want somewhere welcoming to play, socialise and meet others with similar interests.

Sessions combine console gaming, co-op challenges and friendly competition, with staff on hand to keep things organised and inclusive. Players can come with friends or arrive on their own and join in with the group.

Sessions can include popular multiplayer and co-operative games such as:

The games available may change from week to week, giving players a chance to revisit favourites and discover something new.

What age is High School Gamer Club for?
High School Gamer Club is aimed at secondary school-aged players, particularly those aged 12 and over.
Do parents need to stay?
No. High School Gamer Club has an Orange Star rating, which means players aged 12+ can attend independently without a parent or carer remaining on site.
What games do you play?
Sessions can include games such as Fortnite, Minecraft, Rocket League, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Fall Guys, Overcooked! 2 and other multiplayer favourites.
Does my child need to bring a controller?
No. Gaming equipment is available at KDM Gaming Hub. Players are welcome to bring their own labelled controller or headset if they prefer.
Can my child attend if they don't know anyone?
Yes. Solo players are welcome. We help new attendees join games and meet other players so they can become part of the group.
Is the club competitive?
The focus is social gaming, although we sometimes run friendly challenges and mini-tournaments. Competition is encouraged to stay positive and respectful.
When does High School Gamer Club run?
High School Gamer Club normally runs on Mondays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Check the KDM Gaming Hub events calendar for current dates and availability.
Do I need to book in advance?
Booking ahead is recommended because gaming stations are limited and this helps us organise groups and make sure everyone gets plenty of play time.
