What Is the Games Workshop Meet-up Like?

The Games Workshop Meet-up is a relaxed monthly session for people who enjoy miniature gaming, painting, building and tabletop battles.

It is a place to meet other local hobbyists, bring along your army or current project, arrange games and spend time around people who enjoy the same side of the hobby.

Whether you are mainly interested in playing, painting, collecting or learning more about the hobby, the meet-up gives you a regular place to get involved.

Who for?

The Games Workshop Meet-up is for people interested in miniature gaming and the wider Games Workshop hobby.

When is it?

First Sunday of the month 12PM – 6PM

KDM Gaming Hub is based in Llandrindod Wells, Powys, providing a dedicated gaming venue for players from across Mid Wales.

The Games Workshop Meet-up gives Warhammer and miniature gaming players from Llandrindod Wells, Builth Wells, Rhayader, Knighton and surrounding Powys communities a regular place to meet.

When is the Games Workshop Meet-up?
The meet-up normally runs on the first Sunday of every month from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. Check the KDM Gaming Hub events calendar for the next confirmed date.
What games are played?
The games vary depending on who attends. Sessions may include Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, Warcry, Necromunda, Blood Bowl, Horus Heresy and other Games Workshop systems.
Do I need to arrange a game before I come?
Not necessarily, but if you want to play a particular system or army size, contacting us beforehand can make it easier to find another player interested in the same game.
Can I come just to paint or build models?
Yes. The meet-up is for the wider miniature gaming hobby, so you can bring a painting or modelling project even if you are not planning to play a full game.
Is the meet-up suitable for beginners?
Yes. New players and people who are simply interested in the hobby are welcome. It is a good opportunity to see different games, meet local hobbyists and learn more about miniature gaming.
Do I need to bring my own miniatures?
If you are planning to play or work on a hobby project, bring the miniatures and equipment you need. Exact requirements depend on the game or activity you are joining.
Can I come on my own?
Yes. Solo attendees are welcome. The meet-up is intended to help local hobbyists meet other players and find people interested in the same games.
